The 2024 Collaboration with Wildlife Preservation Canada
In a collaboration to bring awareness to Canada’s species at risk, Wildlife Preservation Canada and signature member of Artists for Conservation Sarah McComb Turbitt created a challenge for Sarah to paint as many endangered Canadian species as she can during January 2024. In this collection, 15% of all original paintings and 50% of profits on prints will be donated to WPC. WPC saves critically endangered species whose numbers in the wild are so low that hands-on action is the last defence to save them from extinction. WPC is the only organization in Canada to provide this critical need for wildlife in recovery efforts across the country, from the single population of endangered frogs in BC to the disappearing pollinators across Ontario.
“As native grasslands are lost to agriculture and other development, the survival of the Taylor’s checkerspot butterfly hangs in the balance. Conservation breeding of Taylor’s checkerspots began in 2013 in a converted aviary on Denman Island. Two years later, we began releasing caterpillars into restored habitats on the island. Today, breeding has been moved to facilities at the Greater Vancouver Zoo, where we can produce thousands of caterpillars each year.” Learn more about how you can help at wildlifepreservation.ca.

Limited Edition Giclée Canvas Prints (5)
All my canvases are printed on premium 410g/m2 fine art matte canvas using Giclée printing. The pigment ink is designed to meet gallery and museum longevity requirements and ensure the consistency of shades for over 200 years. All prints are finished with a professional varnish coating to provide you with an additional layer of protection, more contrast, and a more pronounced canvas texture.
All print orders are produced on-demand, so please allow up to 2-4 weeks for processing, production, and distribution.
Shipping within Canada & US: Canvas prints are custom framed using premium-grade 1.5-inch-thick wood for an authentic gallery look and shipped ready to hang.
Shipping beyond North America: Canvas prints travelling internationally beyond North America will be shipped unframed inside mailing tubes. Shipping canvas without a wooden frame keeps shipping expenses low and helps to ensure your artwork arrives safely. The image is printed with a 1.75” white border, which leaves enough space for the canvas to be stretched around framing bars, or you can hang it as is.
